2024 - From Rock To Classical
Adagio
Adagio gave several performances of their concert "From Rock To Classical" over the summer and autumn of 2024.
The final performance as at The Comm in Alfaz del Pi. This was what a reviewer had to say about it.
Adagio’s highly anticipated concert, From Rock to Classical, delivered an unforgettable night of music and entertainment at The Comm in Alfaz del Pi. The comfortable function room was filled with a well-attended audience, eager to experience the unique blend of rock and classical that Adagio promised—and they were not disappointed.
The evening was a delightful journey through musical genres, but it was the rock numbers that truly resonated with the crowd. The audience enthusiastically embraced these energetic performances, while lighter moments like the comical duet, "I Remember It Well," and the whimsical "Cat Duet" had them laughing aloud.
Solo performances added further highlights to the evening. Gordon captivated the audience with a powerful rendition of "This is the Moment" from Jekyll and Hyde, while Peter delivered a witty version of Mozart’s Horn Concerto in E-flat Major, delightfully set to Flanders and Swann’s humorous lyrics. Philip wowed with a soulful performance of "It’s All Coming Back to Me Now," originally sung by Celine Dion.
The night culminated in a rousing medley of Queen hits, which had the audience buzzing with excitement, and the encore of Neil Diamond classics was the perfect finish, prompting a lively sing-along.
Adagio’s diverse talents and engaging repertoire made for an evening that will surely be remembered by all who attended. Their ability to seamlessly transition between classical sophistication and rock energy was a testament to their versatility and charm.
